Senior Community Dining Room

Dowdy, uninspired, and dated in its approach to senior living facilities, this dramatic makeover energized the dining room, incorporating not just all new furnishings, fixtures, lighting, floor coverings and color palette, but altering the floor plan in both sensory and functional ways. Before the remodel most of the food preparation was hidden behind walls, with food service itself limited to cafeteria style tray tables. The new plan brought the sights, sounds, and smells of food preparation out into the open, much to the delight of residents and staff alike, transforming the dining experience into a more sociable and interactive one.
